Quarrymen dig deep to win coveted quiz title

More than a hundred talented quizzers gathered at Kendal Golf Club on Wednesday 22nd March 2017 to battle for the coveted top spot – and to raise funds for two hard-working local charities along the way.

The Russell Armer Homes Charity Quiz Night is now in its 16th year and we celebrated by welcoming 26 teams to the event – mainly made up of local building and finance professionals. Competition was fierce but the ‘Quarrymen’ from Penningtons (Kendal) Ltd beat all-comers to snatch the title and lift the trophy in style.

A fabulous £1,275 was raised on the night which was equally split between the Great North Air Ambulance and Macmillan Cumbria and Lancashire.

Many thanks to all who supported us by entering teams, donating raffle prizes and making the evening such fun. We hope to see you all for the usual menu of pie, peas and fiendishly difficult quiz questions at the same time next year!

Russell Armer have been supporting these local charities for the past 18 years and have raised over £20,000 to date.
