Russell Armer sponsors rugby U18 team eventPosted on December 19, 2019 | News
Members of the Cumbria U18 squad were able to enjoy a pro team-building experience, thanks to a generous donation from award-winning property developers Russell Armer Homes.
Team members were able to spend a valuable pre-match night at The Daresbury Park Hotel in Warrington the day before their game against Northumbria. The players participated in rehab treatments, team meetings and video analysis sessions before an evening meal with colleagues and coaches.
Coach Chris Downham thanked Russell Armer for their kind donation of £1,000 and said it would help give the young players a semi-professional experience in the world of rugby.
‘We want to make the U18’s something for young players to strive towards,’ he said. ‘To give them further incentive to work hard and challenge themselves. Our goal has always been to develop players to the best of their ability but also demonstrate to young people the important value of what it means to be part of a team.’
Martyn Nicholson, Managing Director at Russell Armer Homes commented: ‘We were happy to give the U18s an experience that we hope will propel them on to greater successes. It’s important to show young players how pro teams work together to create a winning mindset. We wish them every success this season.’
