Russell Armer sponsors Kirkby Lonsdale Festival of MusicPosted on June 19, 2018 | Charity, Events, News
The sunny June weather was a welcome backdrop to a weekend of music in Kirkby Lonsdale that Russell Armer was delighted to support through event sponsorship.
The festival has become a fixture in the town’s annual events calendar, featuring an eclectic mix of musical styles and live performances from musicians and bands in a range of venues. Kicking off on Friday 8 June and continuing till Sunday evening, high points of the weekend included an indoor picnic at the Lunesdale Hall, a brilliant performance from acclaimed ukulele band, Ukulele Jukebox, and a themed Bond evening in St Mary’s church.
Bands played in pubs around town on Saturday evening and throughout the day on Sunday. Festival-goers were able to enjoy wall-to-wall music by following the Kirkby Lonsdale Music Trail – gigs galore plus superb between-venue busking! Notable performances courtesy of The Defenders, Out of the Blue, Paper Moon, IQ Band, T-Bone, Flamin’ Nora and Bad Taste Blues Band among others.
Here’s to next year!
