Playtime in Kirkby Lonsdale

Hopes of improving a children’s play park in Kirkby Lonsdale have been given an £8,000 boost by Russell Armer Homes. Next year sees the completion of the first homes on our exciting new development in Kirkby Lonsdale (pictured above) and this money is our way of giving a little something extra to the community.

A local committee of parents and interested residents has been working for three years on a phased project to regenerate the play park.

The £8,000 from Russell Armer Homes will be a fantastic boost to the next stage of the project and is guaranteed to be spent on improving this playground for the town’s children. The total overall cost of the work is anticipated at around £250,000.

Martyn Nicholson, managing director, says, “We did some work on this playground around 20 years ago when we built Abbotsgate and Lower Abbotsgate.

“We wish the parents well in finding the balance of the funding, and this gives them a good start in refreshing and updating the play facilities for all the children of Kirkby Lonsdale.”
