Six-year-old Joshua Fecitt is celebrating after his brightly coloured collage won our competition to draw the Russell Armer show home at Pear Tree Park, in Holme.
The village development is just a stones throw from Holme Community School, and we invited youngsters from Years 2 and 3 to put their own creative twist on the show home to help us celebrate New Homes Week 2009.
During a special assembly at the school, head teacher Maria Gettel announced that Joshuas beautifully textured collage featuring sandpaper for the walls, silver foil for the garage door, a sequinned tree, brightly painted flowers and sunny sky was the winning entry. Also on hand to help Joshua celebrate was his four-year-old sister Zara, a fellow pupil at Holme school.
James Whewell, sales advisor for Russell Armer, presented Year 2 pupil Joshua with his prize a selection of vouchers for Joshua and his family to enjoy a day out at Greenlands Farm Village, Tewitfield (£30 to spend at Wellies Café, free entry to the open farm and play area, plus £15 to spend at the farm shop).
