Russell Armer Homes continues an incredible track record for prestigious prizes as by winning a brace of different awards in the space of a single month for two of its South Lakes developments.
Both the National House-Building Council (NHBC) and the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) recognised the quality of the firms work at Pear Tree Park in Holme and at Drysalters Yard just off Ann Street in Kendal.
Firstly, the NHBC awarded one of their much-coveted Pride in the Job certificates to Russell Armer Homes Site Manager Roy Exelby and his team for their work at Pear Tree Park.
The Pride in the Job award is given by the NHBC to recognise quality in the home building industry and Russell Armer Homes have won at least one every year between 2003 and 2009.
To become a Pride in the Job winner involves a great deal of commitment, hard work and competence. Site Managers and their teams need to prove that they have effective control of all areas of their site and that they can successfully implement this control to produce high quality homes. They also need to demonstrate the ability to deal skilfully with any problems on site, such as difficult ground conditions and access problems.
The other prize came in the LABC Building Excellence Awards (Northern Region) and was given to Russell Armer Homes for Drysalters Yard in the category of best housing development of 11+ units.
The LABC Building Excellence Awards recognise and reward the most forward looking people and organisations and the most innovative construction projects over the last year.
Its always a great honour to receive an award for the quality of our work, commented Andrew Taylor, Construction Director of Russell Armer Homes. But to receive two in succession, and for two different developments, is very exciting and gratifying. It just proves that we are continuing to offer quality homes that deliver great value in todays economic climate.
